While we do not know the value of the PS5 or Xbox Series X yet, we do know that neither next-gen console goes to return cheap. Considering not most are gettying to have the estimated $499+ that the consoles are estimated to cost at launch, it might be worth holding out and learning a second-hand PS5 or Xbox Series X further down the road.

But when do you have to do it? consistent with data collected by eBay, which has analyzed second-hand PlayStation and Xbox consoles sales figures from 2012 to 2014, those trying to find an inexpensive PS5 or Xbox Series X could make a good little bit of savings by holding out a couple of months to shop for a second-hand console.

According to sales data from eBay’s PlayStation page, the simplest time to shop for a second-hand PS5 is around nine months after the console's release date. While we do not know the official PS5 release date, we do expect the console to release in November sometime, making August 2021 the simplest time to shop for - if you'll wait that long.

But it might be worthwhile within the end of the day, with eBay estimating the PS5 price to possess fallen by 35% by this point. So, if the PS5 is priced at $499, then in August 2021 we might expect it to cost around $325 (if we're rounding up) - saving you around $175.

According to sales data from eBay’s Xbox marketplace, those looking to select up a second-hand Xbox Series X could see an identical price fall but may need to wait a touch longer. eBay's data estimates that the perfect time to shop for a second-hand Xbox Series X might be 12 months after the console's release in November, meaning you're best waiting until November 2021 to select up an inexpensive Xbox Series X.

Again, it's estimated that by that point the Series X will have dropped in price by 35%, meaning you'll save around $175 - if the new Xbox costs the estimated $499 we're expecting it to.

But what if you would like to sell your old PS4 or Xbox One to upgrade to a next-gen console? consistent with the info, the simplest time to sell your PS4 or Xbox One is going to be the month of the next-gen consoles' release - likely November. then, it's predicted that the worth of those consoles will drop by 25%.

If you're looking to select up a PS5 or Xbox Series X for reasonable, it's worth noting that while we're expecting both consoles to likely release in November, we cannot see them on sale during Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

However, if you are not fussed about subsequent generation quite yet and you're eager to devour an inexpensive PS4 or Xbox One, then Black Friday are going to be the simplest time to try to so as we'll see retailers shifting their old stock to form room for the new consoles.

Gaming News: PS5 price and release date apparently listed on Amazon – but were not convinced

Gaming News: PS5 price and release date apparently listed on Amazon – but were not convinced

Amazon France apparently listed the PS5's price

Another PS5 price has apparently been listed on Amazon, this point in France and reports say that the bottom console was priced as €499.99. It also lists the discharge date as November 20, which may be a Friday.

We're not convinced there's anything during this, though.

Ben Geskin on Twitter shared a screengrab of the listing below. Note, though, that we've not been ready to verify this ourselves, and this same image appears to possess been doing the rounds for a minimum of several days.

So, is that an important deal? We wouldn't get too over excited just yet. Everyone sharing this image appears to be using an equivalent single screengrab, with equivalent parts blurred out, so it's hard to seek out another source that corroborates the page looking exactly like this within the last week.

It's a little different from the last PS5 Amazon UK price snafu, for instance, where someone actually managed to order from a dummy ASIN page and screengrab that process. Amazon UK later told IGN the listing was simply an "error".

The release date during this image is within the 'Holiday 2020' range set by Sony, on the other hand, any week before Black Friday 2020 seems plausible, really. The PS4, for reference, launched on Friday, November 15, 2013.

The price mentioned here for the bottom unit of the PS5, though, is roughly what we're expecting from the new console.

It's extremely unlikely Sony would let this information be widely disseminated before a politician announcement, once you consider that nothing about the PS5 itself leaked before the recent reveal event. Pricing may be a sensitive subject, with Microsoft and Sony little question carefully keeping an eye fixed on one another to hit what they deem the proper range for his or her player bases.

Our verdict? await Sony's next announcement, and be wary of bogus PS5 pricing stories. within the meantime, we've reached bent Amazon France to verify whether the listing was real.
