New Moto G7 and three more G7-series handsets accidentally leaked in full by Motorola

Oops...

Oops... it looks like Motorola has accidentally revealed details of all four (yes, FOUR) Moto G7 handsets it's expected to launch at MWC 2019 towards the end of February.

The details of the four affordable smartphones were spotted by Cnet on Motorola's Brazilian website, but the pages in question have since been deleted.

So as well as the Moto G7, it looks like we'll also get the Moto G7 Plus, Moto G7 Play, and Moto G7 Power.

Along with the names, the full specs for all four handsets were also leaked, with the regular Moto G7 set to feature a 6.24-inch full HD (2270 x 1080) display with waterdrop notch, Snapdragon 632 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, dual rear cameras with 12MP and 5MP sensors, and an 8MP camera on the front.

The Moto G7 also has a rear fingerprint scanner and a 3,000mAh battery which supports fast charging via TurboPower.

Plus, Power and Play leaked join the party

The Moto G7 Plus is the high-end variant of the lineup with a slightly punchier Snapdragon 636 chipset and dual front-facing cameras with a 16MP primary and a 5MP secondary snapper.

Other than those differences, the rest of the Moto G7 Plus specs appear to be the same as the standard Moto G7.

Coming to the budget end of the lineup, the Moto G7 Play and G7 Power have a lot of similarities.

While the Moto G7 Play has a 5.7-inch display the Moto G7 Power has a bigger 6.2-inch screen, but both have the same HD+ resolution (1512 x 720).

Both pack in a Snapdragon 632 chipset, 32GB of storage, microSD slot, 8MP front camera, rear fingerprint scanner and run Android 9 Pie.

A couple more differences include the 13MP camera on the rear of the Moto G7 Play versus the 12MP offering on the G7 Power, 2GB of RAM for the Play while the Power gets 3GB and the Power also boasts a much bigger, 5,000mAh battery, while the G7 Play has to make do with a 3,000mAh power pack.

Motorola Razr classic flip phone returns: This time it's a pricey foldable

Lenovo reportedly will soon be releasing a foldable $1,500 Razr-branded phone.

Motorola released the original Razr V3 in pre-iPhone 2004 and it became an instant hit.

Fans of the famously skinny Motorola Razr could get to see a modern take on the classic flip phone. The new Razr, which is being made by Motorola's owner, Lenovo, will join the growing stable of foldable phones.

Just like the original, the new Razr will be pricey, costing $1,500, according to a Wall Street Journal report.

The device is being made in partnership with Verizon and could be available as early as February so it might get a showing at Mobile World Congress that month.

Samsung is also expected to reveal its Galaxy X foldable, which opens to become a 7.3-inch tablet and folds into a more conventional phone.

More foldable phones are expected this year, including Royale's recently announced Flexpai, and an alleged tri-fold design foldable from Xiaomi.

LG Display is reportedly working with Lenovo, Huawei, and Xiaomi to develop foldable devices. Lenovo is tipped to be making a 13.3-inch device that folds inwards and would be launched in the fourth quarter of 2019.

As for Lenovo's revival of the Razr brand, Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing teased the idea at MWC 2018, telling TechRadar that foldable screens could spark new innovation in its smartphone design. He also hinted that a new Razr phone could be on the cards.

Motorola released the original Razr V3 in pre-iPhone 2004 and it became an instant hit. Motorola priced it high and initially thought it would sell in low volumes until it saw the public's reaction. It eventually sold 130 million units.

Paul Pierce, who co-designed the Razr V3 and still works for Motorola on future products, told CNET in December that he thought people had a yearning for the sound and feel of a Razr being flipped open. Foldable screens could be the answer to that.

"So we're trying to understand what we can do to revive some of that but it's got to be done in a way that fundamentally delivers an incredible experience. It can't be done just for a gimmick or something of that nature. We've got to figure out how to deliver a breakthrough," said Pierce.

As per The Verge, Lenovo will reportedly make over 200,000 new Razr phones, though there's no detail on its specs or how Motorola plans to approach a foldable design.

Motorola One Power spotted again with the notch, dual cameras, and fingerprint scanner

Edging closer to a release?

Leaks surrounding the rumored Motorola One Power smartphone are slowly increasing in frequency, and the latest leak appears to give us another look at the handset.

The leak consists of a number of hands-on images, which TechInfoBit - who got hold of the snaps - claims show the Motorola One Power.

If these images are legitimate, they appear to confirm previous reports that the handset will come with a screen notch on the front, while on the back there looks to be a vertical dual camera stack and a centralized fingerprint scanner.

No headphone jack?
The images give us several different views of the phone, with power and volume keys on the right, a SIM tray on the left and a USB-C port and speaker on the base.

Something we can't see here is a headphone jack, and while there's no shot of the top of the phone, we wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't feature here as Motorola has dropped the port on previous handsets.
